7 required documents you must know when applying TFETP (Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program)

When you are applying for the position of foreign English teacher or teaching assistant, you must prepare the following documents:

1. Passport

You should submit the page with your photo and personal information.

2. Degree certificate

The certificate should be a bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited university or college.

3. State-issued teaching license/proof of qualification (foreign English teachers only)

For those who apply for foreign English teachers, you should have a valid teaching license or proof of teaching experience.

4. Nationwide police check/clearance

You should have this document issued by your home country or the country where you live.

5. Statement of purpose

You can write about yourself, your motivation, your plan, etc., in 700-1500 words.

6. Teaching demonstration video

You can show how you teach or your strategies in a 4-5 minute video.

7. Two reference letters

You can ask your teachers, professors, or those who worked with you for a period of time to write you a reference letter.
