Good News! The Department of Science and Technology announces, the 2024 DOST-SEI UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS is now open for application.

The Undergraduate Scholarship 2024 has been introduced by the Department of Science and Technology Science Education Institute (DoST-SEI) for all incoming college students in the Philippines.


The primary goal of the Science and Technology (S&T) undergraduate scholarships program is to inspire and attract talented Filipino young individuals to embark on fulfilling careers in the realm of science and technology. It seeks to guarantee a consistent supply of qualified S&T professionals who can lead the nation towards national advancement.

Eligible recipients of the scholarship will enjoy several advantages, including the coverage of tuition and other educational expenses, 
  • a thesis allowance of P10,000, 
  • a graduation allowance of P1,000,
  •  actual fees up to P40,000 per academic year, 
  • educational materials and/or connectivity allowance of P10,000 annually, 
  • a monthly living stipend of P7,000, 
  • a clothing allowance of P1,000 (limited to the first semester of the first year), transportation allowance, and group accident and health insurance.

The online application period began on October 17, 2023, and will conclude on December 31, 2023.

The Qualifying Examination is scheduled for April 6 and 7, 2024.

DoST also provides other scholarships such as the Merit and RA 7687 scholarships.

The DoST-SEI Merit Scholarship Program, previously known as the NSDB or NSTA Scholarship under RA No. 2067, is granted to students demonstrating exceptional aptitude in science and mathematics, and who are committed to pursuing careers in the fields of science and technology.

Republic Act No. 7687, also referred to as the "Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994," furnishes scholarships to accomplished and deserving students whose family's socio-economic status does not surpass the specified threshold values for certain indicators.

Successful candidates are expected to specialize in priority fields of study within the basic sciences, engineering, other applied sciences, and science and mathematics teaching.
