PUBLIC SERVICE VALUES IN TIMES OF ADVERSITIES
Course Description:
This workshop aims to enable
participants in strengthening and harnessing the core values of a Public
Servant: Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence and Spirituality (PIES)
especially in this time of pandemic for the enhancement of their
organization’s capability in pursuing strategic leadership and
management.
Performance Objectives:
Participants shall be
able to build up personal and organization resilience by strengthening
the manifestation of the shared public service values in own workplace.
Specific Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants shall be able to:
1.
Appreciate the importance of strengthening the manifestation of the
shared public service values in maintaining the delivery of public
service excellence in times of adversities;
2. Discuss the concepts
and principles of public service values and its strategic practice in
different government agencies; and,
3. Prepare and commit to
implement action plans that will strengthen own practice of the public
service values and enable self to advocate its practice in the
workplace.

GENDER, DIVERSITY, AND SOCIAL INCLUSION
This course is designed to raise the civil servants’ awareness on the various dimensions of diversity in the Philippines. It seeks to equip the participants with sensitivity to the impact of diversity, usually exclusion of particular groups especially with respect to gender and provide tools for handling diversity and fostering a culture of inclusion in their respective workplaces. A major strategy for inclusion is mainstreaming the socially excluded groups. Illustrative of this approach is gender mainstreaming which seeks to promote gender equality.
More specifically, the webinar aims to:
1. Appreciate the relevance and significance of managing diversity and fostering inclusiveness in the workplace;
2. Identify diversity and inclusion issues;
3. Discuss and explore the role of the leaders in managing diversity and fostering inclusion;
4. Identify approaches and strategies for social inclusion;
5. Classify and navigate gender-related differences in the workplace;
6.
Develop and commit to Action Plans in managing diversity and promoting
social inclusion in the workplace by identifying and addressing specific
diversity issues in own workplace.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR PRIME-HRM LEVEL 2
This course shall enable HR Practitioners of public sector agencies to review their existing Learning and Development (L&D) Policy and Process and identify areas where customization can be made for it to be more responsive to agency’s specific needs. Participants shall be able to walk through the L&D cycle vis-Ã -vis the PRIME-HRM Level 2 requirements and shall be guided in the development of a customized L&D system and the preparation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of an L&D Plan. Participants shall also be equipped with the competency of administering the L&D Process.
Target Participants: Human Resource Management Practitioners or those with equivalent positions (preferably assigned in Learning and Development) from National Government Agencies vying for PRIME-HRM Level 2 in the core HR area of Learning and Development.
NGAs are encouraged to send both their Central and Regional Office HRs to help facilitate whole-of-agency approach in learning application.
Performance Objectives:
Participants shall be
able to effectively administer a customized Learning and Development
Policy and Guidelines towards continually improving individual and
Agency performance in accordance with the requirements of PRIME-HRM
Level 2.
Learning Objectives:
Specifically, by the end of this course the participants shall be able to:
1. Appreciate the value of administering a Learning and Development
(L&D) System that meets the PRIME HRM Maturity Level 2 requirements;
2. Assess own L&D System vis-a-vis PRIME-HRM’s L&D pillars, elements and Level 2 indicators;
3.
Discuss the purpose, principles, processes and practices in relation to
customizing and administering their own Learning and Development
(L&D);
4. Identify areas for customization in the agency’s current L&D system; and,
5.
Prepare a draft customized L&D Policy, L&D Plan and develop
action plan for administering said customized L&D Policy.
