LandBank offers Students of legal age can borrow up to 50,000

Here's the latest news update on LandBank enhanced I-STUDY (Interim Students’ Loan for Tuitions towards Upliftment of Education for the Development of the Youth) Lending Program.

LandBank announced on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 that student of legal age are now eligible to apply for its enhanced I-STUDY (Interim Students’ Loan for Tuitions towards Upliftment of Education for the Development of the Youth) Lending Program if they meet the necessary requirements.

The enhanced I-STUDY lending program is now offering a loan of up to P50,000 per student to finance the purchase of learning gadgets such as laptop, desktop or tablet, that can be included in the maximum loanable amount of P150,000 per student or P300,000 per parent-borrower to cover payment for tuition or enrolment-related fees.

The I-STUDY loan program was initially launched last year, only parents and guardians or benefactors of students could apply for the financial assistance.

But now they enhanced the Program allowing students of legal age but still they have to passed the applications (requirements) for the said program in order to qualify for the 50K loan.

The expanded I-STUDY program also increased the maximum age eligibility of students from 30 to 50 years old.

The LandBank also said the loan program now covers scholar students whose scholarships do not fully cover their tuition fees, and non-scholar students from private schools.

The LandBank’s I-STUDY program offers a direct loan to students with a fixed interest rate of 5% per annum. It covers students from pre-school to tertiary level.

The LANDBANK I-STUDY Program will be available only for School Years 2021 to 2022.
