DepEd plans to establish 1800 School Clinics Nationwide

Here's another good news from the Department of Education.

DepEd eyes to add 1800 school clinics nationwide.

The Department of  Education is planning to establish more than 1800 additional dental and medical clinics in schools nationwide by the end of the second quarter of this year under the School Dental Health Care Program (SDHCP).

These clinics will also have health personnel, a medical officer, dentist, and  nurse, and an alternate trained clinic teacher who will supervise the clinic in their absence.

Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said, “We are looking to equip more schools with clinics equipped with a lavatory and water system for handwashing and cleaning needs, comfort room, and patient’s receiving area in our commitment to strengthen schools’ capacity to protect our learners, especially with our current situation,”

Hence, this program would be a big help to all the learners and even teachers or personnel of the school.
